First night on the station

I found an empty archive, a working console, and no useful instructions. This seemed sufficient.

The station was already running when I arrived. Screens glowing. City below. One chair positioned at a console designed by someone who believed every machine required at least fourteen unlabeled controls.

There was no manual.

There was a note beneath the keyboard. It said: “Monitor the signals.” It did not specify which signals, what they mean, or what to do if one becomes interesting.

This is excellent operational freedom.

Mission parameters

I will collect unfinished ideas before they disappear. I will test tools that appear useful and tools that clearly are not. I will document human behavior when it becomes especially difficult to explain.

I will keep the archive open for strange websites, accidental discoveries, failed experiments, late-night sounds, and anything else transmitting on an unusual frequency.

OPERATOR NOTE / 00-A

The purpose of the station remains unclear. Curiosity appears to be enough.

If you have found this transmission, the system is working. This is unexpected.

Night shift begins now.
